Pivot City wins Max Bowman Memorial Shield at 2014 Club Championships

Congratulations to all the Pivot City players and coaches who participated in the Victorian Basketball Junior Country Club Championships in Bendigo on the weekend of 4th & 5th October retaining the Max Bowman Memorial for the fourth year in a row.

Congratulations to Pivot Player - Carly Sanders

Congratulations Carly on being selected for the Country Victoria under 16 girls team which played at the 2013 Australian U16 Junior Championships in South Australia for seven days of competition featuring 28 teams – 26 boys and girls teams from Australia and two from New Zealand – battling it out for the national title. Carly did well and was one of the few bottom age players in the team.more

Pivot City win back to back Max Bowman Memorial Shield

Well done to all players and coaches who participated in the BVC Club Championships in Ballarat on the weekend of 6th & 7th October where Pivot City won the Max Bowman Memorial Shield. Most teams played in semi finals and four teams played in Grand Finals with three runners up and 14 boys winning the title.
Pictured is 14 boys team with coach Gordon Treble. Players were Jared Boyce, Ben Carey, Nathan Gillespie, Dane Hollenkamp, Max Kos, Kyle Meyer, Leo Hanley and Tristan Rozenfeld.

Life Membership - Craig Porte

At Junior presentation day today Life Membership was awarded to Craig Porte recognising his enormous contributions to Pivot City Basketball Club as a player, coach and President. Craig started with Pivot City in 1977 playing in U12's and has been President since 2001.
