2014 ANNUAL GUJURATI SOCCER TOURNAMENT.

This weekend our club is hosting the 2014 ANNUAL GUJURATI SOCCER TOURNAMENT.

There will be 11 teams competing and attached is the draw over the 3 days.

This is a good chance for our members to come down and watch some fairly good football and also our men’s first team are at home on Saturday playing Albany at 2.45pm.more

Oratia UAFC Board Announcement.

As you may be aware at this year’s AGM the board was given the task of reviewing the clubs constitution including looking at a revitalised management structure for Oratia United AFC, which is more democratic and includes other sporting codes as we move toward becoming a true sports club.

The board is hopeful of having the proposed draft ready by end of July to present to the membership.more

Oratia United Football Club looking to fill a volunteer position within the Junior Club.

The Saturday Junior Club Assistant is to be available at Parrs Park on Saturday mornings from approx. 9am through till early afternoon approximately 1pm.more

Team Sessions with Director of Football

In order to interact with as many players and coaches as possible, the Director of Football will be running invitational team sessions Thursday evening on the Turf from 5.00-6.00.
The aim is for our young players to train with the DoF and for the coaches to observe and discuss possible training drills for their teams and any other relevant issues that might help improve their performance in seasonmore

Oratia United Academy for Term 2.

Enrollments for the Oratia United Academy are being accepted for Term 2.
The Academy starts again after the school holidays on Tuesdays from the 6th May to the 1st July.
The Academy will be held on Parrs Park Artificial Turf from 5pm to 6pm.more

Oratia United AFC Donate Old Shirts

Attached is a article that will be appearing in both the school and Western Leader about the clubs donation of 180 shirts to Bruce Mclaren Intermediate School. The club has also donated another 100 shirts to Sport Waitakere Replay programme.more

First Kicks (5th and 6th Grade) 2014 Season

Welcome to Oratia United Football Club for the 2014 season.
Our First Kicks program for our 5th and 6th Grade players begins on Friday night the 4th April on the artificial turf at Parrs Park at 5:30pm. The last game is the 11th April before a school holiday break and Easter Holiday. Games will resume again on the last weekend of the school holidays Friday the 2nd May.more

15th Grade Girls Coach 2014

Ian Parris has been appointed as the 15th Grade Girls Coach for the 2014 season.

Ian has coached Senior Ladies Football at the club for a number of years, after a year off he is returning to coaching and is looking forward to the coming season.

For those that intend to apply to coach one of our Girls Teams 7th through to 15th grade for the 2014 season at Oratia United AFC. I will be interviewing all applications for these on Friday 24th January at the Clubrooms, Parrs Park, Oratia.

After a successful first campaign in the NRFL Division 2 competition in 2013 we are looking to strengthen our squad to help us to continue to move forward in the coming season under 1st team Head Coach, Lee Gosshawk, who has been retained for the coming season.

The Oratia 11th grade 1st team the Small stars ended their year on a high!

The Oratia 11th grade 1st team the Small stars ended their year on a high, placing Runners up at the New Zealand Junior Club Cup tournament held at Madills farm during Labour Weekend. After two days of competition and 7 games where they won 3, drew 3 and lost 1. They found themselves in the final against Glenview. This is the best result this team has had at a tournament and capped off a greatmore

Oratia United first and reserves last league games

The reserves kick off at 2.45 at Seddon Fields and then the first team fixture kicks off at 5.00pm. The squad has appreciated and enjoyed your support this season and we would love to see as many of you as possible this Saturday at Seddon Fields. We are finishing the season with a game against the Champions for 2013 and we will show why Oratia can and will compete now that we are back in NRFL.more

For the school holidays we will NOT hold our Friday night 5th and 6th grade sessions for the 19th and 26th July. We will resume on Friday 2nd August. Oratia United AFC are the latest club to be successfully accredited with Quality Club Mark status, NZ Football’s initiative to help clubs achieve best standard practices for the benefit of their members and the community.

Junior and Youth Summer Soccer 2012/2013

This year we will be running the junior /youth summer league as follows:
We will accept team entries only this year, the entry fee to compete in the summer league will be $250.00 per team.
THE COMPETITION:

The first 34 paid team entries received will be entered into the competition, any entries received over this will be placed on a waiting list.more

Girls in Football

At Oratia United we have seen some exciting changes over the 2010 season, with the club appointing our new Director of Football, Steve Cain.  Under his direction we have implemented a new pathways programme, selection and trial process, along with our High Performance Academy and Development Academy.

For the 2011 season our focus will be on increasing the numbers of girls's teams at our club, in doing this we will offer.
