Sanctions for Offences Against Match Officials

Dear All,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Futsal Premier and Super League Clubs, and the NSW Futsal State League Referees Association for their support of the Football NSW Elite competitions, and most recently the State Championships. Futsal is leading the way at Football NSW, with the introduction of online scoring and team sheets a first for either form of the game in the State.

As you may be aware, there were several incidences of abuse and intimidation of Match Officials at the State Championships. Under no circumstance is this acceptable. Football NSW is committed to providing a safe environment for all participants, and as such has reviewed the minimum sanctions applicable to those individuals alleged to have abused or intimidated Match Officials.

The following table details offences and applicable sanctions as contained in the FNSW Futsal Disciplinary Code:

Sanction Code

Use of offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures against a match official

The mandatory 1 fixture plus 1 additional fixture

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
