Basketball WA has released the WABL fixtures for 2014.

The season will commence on Sunday 4 May with the regular season set to conclude on Sunday 31 August.

The competition will break for two weeks in July during the school holidays and Under 16 Australian Junior Championships. The breaks will be on Sunday 5 & 13 of July. 

Finals will be held over four weekends at the WA Basketball Centre. Finals will commence on Sunday 7 September with games on Sunday 14 September and Sunday 21 September, followed by Grand Finals on Sunday 28 September. 

Basketball WA will again host the popular Junior Development Carnivals in 2014 with three carnivals at the WA Basketball Centre on Sunday 15 June, Sunday 27 July & Sunday 10 August. 

There are two changes to the WABL competition in 2014 with the competition returning to divisions in the junior age groups. The competition will now play Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 in junior age groups. Each age group will have a division one competition and a division two competition. 

The second significant change will see a second Under 12 competition in both Boys & Girls to cater for the large number of players at this age group.
