The Murchison faithful have a keen eye on the side for 2013 after retaining a great majority of the list from 2012 and successfully recruiting some proven recruits.

The side will be strengthened by in the inclusion of some mature bodies to assist the side of last year which contained 11 throughout the year who had played u18's for the club previously.  Jake Rennie will be guided by veteran Anthony Mellington (Heathcote) in the forward line while Cullinan, Ganino and Bence will all join the Hoppers after playing in Melbourne last year.

Luke Chapman, also formerly of Heatcote along with Bence will add options and unpredictability with both being able to play forward or back and have proven thier abaility in stong competitions.

2012 saw progress by many of the younger players, non less than the dual best first year players Burls and Rennie who will gain invaluable experience from the surrounding players in this 2013 line up.  With forward options more plentiful Milne will now be part of a trio of running mids/forwards causing issues for the opposition and should find a bit more freedom to use his footy smarts and pace.

The ability of Cullinan and Ganino in close will be a welcome improvement by Checcin, Londrigan and Vincitorio who carried the midfield last year at time with minimal rest.

The reserves will be led by ex player Dale Alderton assisted by Dave Murray for the season, the level of involvement from the two already is exemplary.  Luke Twynstra will also stay on this time to try to pull the boots on and can only make Dale's year easier with his experience of the past 3 seasons in the job.

Our Juniors are currently on the lookout to bolster thier numbers after the appointment of Peter Milne for 2013.  Likewise the Netball is again looking to field both u/17 and u/15 with opportunities in both grades for new or returning players.

The club is looking to continue the improvements made last year and provide our players and members with a great opportunity and experience again in the coming season.
