A very average game on a tiny little cow paddock at the break of dawn. Surely we can't be expected to play before the sun rises. Hard, contested, skilful footy.....by at least one team! The scores were pretty even ....until the first bounce. At least it was a beautiful day after we finished?
Started the game with nineteen to try and get an advantage......It didn't work!
All in all a pretty good effort from the boys against the also undefeated Freo Phantoms. Well run on a beautiful day in the picturesque holiday resort town of Rockingham. It must be getting towards mid season and it showed with numbers dropping to their lowest all year. Twenty took the field which was pretty reasonable considering we had 14 with five minutes to go before bounce down.
A pretty light hearted game. Only one broken leg this week. Another first game casualty. Big Red (Steve) suffered a spiral fracture of the tibia in an innocuous play at CHF. Holy hell batman, we are getting old. Two broken legs, one dislocated shoulder and a torn heart muscle in four weeks. Some injury concerns for the high flying Doggies.
Played at a very large ground out Midland Way
We dominated early with Rambo and Spacko running amok on their respective wings. The we stopped playing so well because we got tired.
The bulldogs were out before the crack of dawn on a slippery, slimy, soggy Sunday to battle the Northern Warriors. A miserable morning. Way to early to play football. The icy cold showers after the game were a fitting conclusion to the day of despair.
Thank the heavens there were no rash players with a side of herpes to infect the true form of the mighty Bulldogs! The dirty cats nearly interrupted the bulldogs run of wins.
A very enjoyable game played in a great spirit. Six on the bench a plenty of run made for a good result on the tight confines of the Midland clay pan.
Special Guest Writeup by Tiny: Well done boys on an improved effort this week. The fabled Wembley superstars were not much more than a fit Bulldogs side who had about 3 blokes that could run all day.
A bruising encounter with the Mako’s and no one was left standing. After our opposition jumped to a twenty two goal first quarter lead it was always going to be tough to claw it back.
