Round 12 - Netball Notes

U-13's:

Fish Creek 18 d  MDU 0

A great game girls. The new set plays we learnt at training really paid off during the game. It proves that when you listen and train hard on Wednesday that it improves your performance on game day. Defence worked exceptionally well and it was great to hear a little bit more talk on the court. Offense did well with some good holds in the ring and our Mid court worked well most of the game, we just need to remember to give each other some space. Keep the hard work up at training girls and we will continue to improve more and more as we approach finals.

Great team effort today girls, with everyone contributing to a nice win.  It's great to see your hard work at training really show on the court, with some great passages of plays displayed throughout the 4 qtrs. Our defensive end once again played strong all game, our mid court are combining fantastically with both ends creating space and strong leads and the attacking end combining great together with some fantastic shooting.
Keep up the great work girls and let's come out strong for our game against Korumburra-Bena.

We had a few girls out this week with illness.  A big thank you to Taylor and Shannon for coming up and filling in.  We played well this week working well as a team all over the court with each player playing their role.  The pressure on the ball was good forcing several turnovers but our passing let us down and we didn't capitalize on all our opportunities.  This week we need to be on our game if we want to win and cannot afford to miss out on any opportunities. We finished off really well and need to carry this form into our game against Korumburra.  Great work girls.  Let's be fired up ready to go this week.

What a fantastic game, a real nail biter, an absolute battle to the end with all parties putting in 100 percent and more. Some great intercepts for our defensive end kept the ball ricocheting back to Rach and Megan who then passed into our goalers for another try. Teags and Gab found it sometimes hard to sink it in the wind, but made them stick well enough to WIN THE GAME! :)

Great effort against the always strong MDU girls. Had a slow start which allowed MDU to lead the game with a good head start. We were playing great as a team; leading, talking & shooting well. Our second half proved our fitness levels to be better than our opposition, never giving up! What a comeback, down by 11 goals at half time and fought hard with a minor loss to only 3 goals! Fantastic effort fishy girls! Rewarding yourselves with a beverage or two at the MidYear Ball. Let's take down burra this weekend.

We started out really strong with a great first quarter! Goalies were smashing in the goals and moving well and backing the whole way down the court ! Defenders put hard pressure on the MDU goalers and getting some great turnovers! Well done girls it was a great game over all seeing lots of positive improvements on the court.
