2013 Netball Coaches Announced

U16.5 Senior Coach - Meredith Coburn

Excited to have the opportunity to coach our U16.5 senior netballers, Meredith will bring a fresh and upbeat approach to our netball program. A 22 year old Uni student who is going into her fifth season playing with our senior club East Point has coached netta netball and an U11 team in the past.  Meredith is looking forward to working with the girls to get the best out of themselves and toward their preparation for senior level.

U16.5 Reserve Coaches - Debbie Gray and Tanya Lund

U14 Senior Coach - Debbie McGuire

Premiership success and Central Highlands League "Best & Fairest" honors are just some of the achievements Debbie has earned over her 25 years of netball experience.  After an injury to her knee and beginning a family, Debbie has continued to be involved with the game she loves by sharing her netball knowledge through coaching.  Debbie is excited about joining our club along with her daughter Hannah, and hopes to have lots of fun with the girls as they get to know each other and form new friendships. She is looking forward to the season ahead, teaching the girls some new skills as part of their individual development and also developing them well into a TEAM, and of course enjoying a few wins along the way!  She believes "The way a team plays as a whole determines its success!"

U14 Reserve Coach - Lisa Smith

U12 Senior Netball Coach - Amanda Harris

Thoroughly enjoying her year of coaching our U14 team last season, and having a strong desire to continue to teach young netballers as much as possible, Amanda is looking forward to coaching our U12 senior girls in 2013. She has an extensive resume as a netball coach and has coached at both senior and junior level.  She ensures all players are given the opportunity in all areas of the court which is vital in their early development, and whilst being very competitive, her first priority for her players is inclusion, acceptance and enjoyment. 2012 was a fantastic season for Amanda and her U14 team, being undefeated and finishing the year as "premiers and champions," and very deservedly to cap it off, Amanda was awarded the BFNL 2012 U14 "Netball Coach of the Year!"

Pre-season training will commence of Wed 20th Feb at the East Point Netball court, Eastern Oval form 4pm to 5pm for a short session and to meet your coaches and team mates.  Please bring a drink, a hat and remember to put on sunscreen.

U12 Reserve Coach - Claire McGuinness

A wealth of knowledge and experience in netball will hold Claire in great stead for her first junior coaching role. She has played netball for many years and has been involved in netball administration.  Claire is very committed once she takes something on and she's a fantastic communicator, especially with young people.  She is looking forward to working with Amanda in the development of our U12 age group and in teaching them the fundementals of netball.

Pre-season training as per U12A
