Mick Simkiins - Life Member of BFL

A summary’s of Mick Simpkins history is as follows:

Bacchus Marsh FNC: 1981 - 1991

11 years of service as a Player, Coach, Runner, Trainer & Committee member.

Melton FNC: 1992 – 2003

12 years “official” service as Netball President, Coach (Coached all 3 sides for several years), Committee member & still handles bar orders & runs the bar ever Thursday night during the season. Melton FNC Life Member with 20 years service & still going strong.

Ballarat FNL: 2000 to present

Joined the BFNL Board in 2004 and is still the Director of Netball today & into his 9th year. Coached Senior Netball Interleague team for 4 years. Was a key member in overseeing the expansion of the Senior Netball competition from 2 grades to 4 grades, and assisted with the introduction of the Junior Netball competition which started in 2012.

Involved in Ballarat FNL at Club & league level now for 32 years…………

It is also worth noting that Mick is also a Life Member of:

- Melton Basketball Association: 25 years service

- Melton Netball Association: 14 years service as President, Coach, Supervisor & Committee member.

- Melton Cricket Club: One of 3 original founding members still active and has given 37 years service.
