MERRY CHRISTMAS TYNTYNDER!
How good was it to see so many families at the Annual Tyntynder Christmas get together? Our kids were were excited to receive a visit from the "Big Man In Red" and the atmosphere was very relaxed as families took the opportunity to catch up before Christmas

MAHON TAKES ON THE BEST IRELAND HAS TO OFFER
Recently 24 year old Tyntynder export and much loved son Bede Mahon experienced football of a different kind when he was chosen from almost 10,000 players to represent Australia playing Gaelic football against Ireland's best. Taking on the All-Irish team prior to them playing the AFL All-Indigenous team, Bede describes his selection as "a privilege". Read on as Bede writes about his experience..

LIFE MEMBERSHIP FOR LUKE AND DAMIAN
Congratulations to Luke Kelly and Damian Wilson who were tonight awarded Life Membership of the Tyntynder Football Netball Club. Speaking at the TFNC AGM President Paul Morrison praised both men for their continued dedication and ongoing support of the TFNC. "Licky" Worner spoke of the honour in being awarded Life Membership and of both men being extremely worthy. Congratulations Damian and Luke.

Tyntynder Football Netball Club is honoured to have been named ‘Victorian Good Sports Club of the Year’ and ‘AFL Victoria Club of Excellence’. These awards celebrate the club for promoting the values of the Australian Drug Foundation’s Good Sports program and reflect the hard work of past TFNC President Mal Devereux and by current President Paul Morrison and their respective committees.

The Tyntynder Football Netball Club Annual General Meeting will be held at the Tyntynder Clubrooms at 7.00pm on Monday November 18th,2013. Current President Paul Morrison has indicated he will stay on in the role and encourages all members and supporters to show their support by attending the AGM. MAX CARROLL - FINALIST 2013 AFCA AWARDS
Congratulations to Max Carroll who was a finalist for the Australian Football Coaches Association Youth Coach of the Year Award announced at the MCG last night. The AFCA Awards are designed to recognise coaching service and excellence in five categories - Auskick, Junior Club, Female, Youth and Senior, with each AFCA regional branch awarding coaches in these categories for their efforts annually.

BULLDOGS SUPPORT ANNUAL RELAY FOR LIFE
In it's 13th year, the annual Relay for Life supports those who have been diagnosed with cancer, remembers community members we have lost and aims to raise awarness and much needed funds. TFNC club continues to support the annual event by donating use of the exterior lights, clubrooms and Auskick Equipment. Congratulations to organisers who ensured the Alan Garden Reserve was "awash with purple"

MASTERS NAMED LJ HOOKER PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR

Tyntynder were lucky to come away with a win after coming up against a committed and detemined Nyah Nyan West United unit yesterday. Congratulations to Marcus Wattie, Tom Sala and Kayle Kirby who lined up with the Dogs for their first senior game. Well done to all.

CLUBS RECOGNISE VIETNAM VETERAN'S DAY
Tyntynder and Nyah Nyah West United Football Netball Clubs observed a minutes silence before the start of the Senior match on Saturday to recognise and raise awareness of Vietnam Veteran's Day and the aniversary of the Battle of Long Tan which took place in 1966. Local Veteran Ken Ball was on hand to present NNWU's Luke Maher with a medal for Best On Ground. Well done Luke.

SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
Tyntynder Football Netball Club is committed to the safe and responsible service of alcohol. An RSA course outlining the laws that control the service of alcohol will be offered to club members, players and supporters (limited to 25 and at a cost of $40.00 per person)on Wednesday August 21st. GOAL POST PADDING THANKS TO VICHEALTH
Thanks to VicHealth for the new goal post padding! Tyntynder Football Netball Club was one of the big winners from the VicHealth Active Club Grant Program 2012/2013. With over $1 million in grants allocated to community sporting and active recreation organisations 73 football clubs from across Victoria benefited from grants of up to $2500 each. BULLDOG CUP - FAMILY FUN NIGHT
Three of Tyntynder Football Netball Clubs' most popular nights rolled into one! Combining alltime favourites the famous "Bulldog Cup", our "Goods & Services Auction" and a good old fashioned "Casserole Tea" this will be a whole of club family function. "Mum's and Dad's can relax while the "little people" are supervised downstairs. Bring a casserole or food to share, $5.00 per head. See you there!

17'S WORK HARD IN TRYING CONDITIONS
The Tyntynder Colts continue to improve each week with some great four quarter efforts. The team are well supported by a regular contingent of U15 boys who step up each week to play their second consecutive game of football for the day. A measure of progress and development is not soley reliant on what the scoreboard reflects at the end of the game. The boys are a credit to Barry and Jeanette.

A BLAST FROM THE PAST! A warm welcome to all supporters, to the start of what is sure to be a successul and enjoyable year for Tyntynder Football and Netball Clubs. After a couple of years re establising ourselves as a power in the Mid Murray Football League with the grand final and semi final over the past two seasons, our coach has paved the way for the club to go all the way in the Inagural.

AUSKICKERS TAKE TO THE TRACK
The Tyntynder Auskick Centre kicked off on Thursday night with great numbers - thanks to Rocket, Geoff, "Bakes" and Mark for helping out. Nice to see the under 15 boys offering to help out too. Well done to all the Tyntynder boys and girls whose basketball season came to an end last night. Congratulations to our own Marcus Wattie who along with Cade Hickey coached the Under 16 boys to a Premiership last night. ELVIE REACHES NATIONAL STAGE
Congratulations to our own Elvie Kelly-Britten who, along with Woorinen's Jaya Blandthorn, has been chosen to represent the Australian "Budgies" at the National Indigenous Netball Carnival to be held on the Gold Coast in July. The event will feature teams from New Zealand and Tonga. Great stuff girls!
