Cobras and Grubbers strengthen ties

The Cobras have been working closely over the summer months to develop and strengthen our links with the town's senior football club.

A positive step undertaken by our club has been the appointment of Paul Featherby to the role of Ocean Grove Football Club liaison. Feathers has a strong history with both clubs, having played and coached with the Grubbers, and last season coached our Under 14(1) team to the finals.

Paul's main focus will be on working with the OGFNC to create a smooth pathway for as many of our top age Under 14 boys as possible to further their football development with the Grubbers.

At present, nearly 80% of the senior club's playing list is made up of local kids that have played for the Ocean Grove-Collendina Cobras. This is something both clubs are proud of and would like to see continue.

Please continue to visit the Cobras website throughout the season for further updates.
