The Corio Community Sports Club (Football Section) is seeking a Senior Coach for season 2016 and beyond.

Expressions of interest are being sought for any person who would like to coach the Corio Community Sports Club Senior (Football) team in 2016.

You will need to demonstrate the following:

  • The ability to understand, embrace and develop the culture of the football club
  • The ability to develop and implement a style of play and team plan
  • Structured approach to training
  • An understanding of modern football trends
  • Exceptional communication skills both on and off the field
  • A strong commitment to grow, develop and teach players of all ages
  • Knowledge and understanding in improving existing player skills
  • The ability to shape and form a strong coaching team
  • Bring a fresh, energetic and positive attitude along with being organised and structured
  • Review match day footage, and provide feedback to individual players / Team

In return, you will receive support and guidance from the football committee and will be renumerated accordingly.

About the Club

The Corio Community Sports Club has been in existence since 1974.

The club has excellent home ground facilities that align with the professionalism of our club at the local level for football, netball and cricket.

The football section of the club is represented by a senior & reserve grade side in the Geelong & District Football League as well as junior sides, Auskick, U/10, U/12, U/14, U/16 and Colts.

In 2015 our Colts (U/18) team contested in the finals and one of our players won the Ray Ettridge Medal for the fairest and best player in the Colts divisions from a Geelong & District Football League club.

With over 300 players in total, of all mixed religions and races, we pride ourselves on being a multi-cultural club who accept any person regardless of their background or economic situation, our club has a strong commitment to social justice and supporting its community.

The Football Club runs an Auskick program for kids aged 4-7, actively promotes AFL clinics for free at local schools and supports many community organisations, the club aims to be a leader in its community in providing safe and positive environment in which to participate in sport and recreation.

The Corio Football and Netball Club was formed in 1974. It currently fields teams in senior and junior football (U10 to U18) , senior and junior netball (U13 to U17), and for the youngsters theres Auskick and Netta programs. The clubs colors are red and white, Corio plays its home games at Shell Reserve, Purnell Rd Corio.
