SENIOR COACH
Jarrod Holt
The season to date has been a very interesting one for the senior side, we have had some great wins and some disappointing losses, and each week is a brand new challenge and never a dull moment! We have been very well served by the young players getting their first taste of senior football and we will continue to blood these young guys to help our future. We still have a lot of work to do to get to the standard required, but I look forward to knocking off some more of these sides and stamping our mark on the comp. before the season’s out.
Looking forward to seeing you at the games,. Jarrod Holt
Reserves COACH
Mick Ford
After seven rounds, the Reserve grade have had some mixed results with strong numbers early in the year. Plenty of pressure for positions meant for some handy line-ups and it showed out on the park. Recent weeks have seen the club hit with a handful of injuries in both grades resulting in dwindling numbers available for selection.
Overall happy with our progress to date, we have continued to improve as a group, arranging our playing style similar to that of the senior side. Thus making the transition of in form players into the 2 o’clock game a smooth one. Looking forward to the next few games, to really find out where we are at! Cheers, Fordy

The boys have made a great start to the year, adjusting to the new league, currently sitting in 5th position. We have already had 6 boys play senior footy and Tom Templeton & Rowan Marshall have also played a handful of Nth Ballarat Rebels games.
Also we have had 8 boys form the U17 comp play on a permit and will continue to give these boys equal opportunities to play with us throughout the year. We have great number this year with at least 35 players on our list. It is hard on the boys that miss out some weeks but I know the boys understand the process we go through and it is great sign for the club in the future. Moving forward, the team is working really hard on the training track as we strive to continually improve our football and make a big push to play deep into the finals.
Please try and get to see a game or two, as I promise you will see great kids who always give their best. Cheers, Tim Chester.
Netball Coordinator- Lauren Hockley
Our transition from leagues has been welcomed by all clubs, and we must say they truly look after opposition players with most clubs having designated change rooms/shower/toilets for us to utilise. It is something we will be working on in the future to reciprocate.
Many will have seen our new look uniforms that the players are wearing. They are quite flattering on all shapes and as they say black is more slimming!! Thanks to Michelle Finck for her hard work in co-ordinating and designing them.
Well nearly mid way through the season and the weeks are going by fast. We have had a mixed start in our new league. Coming from WB and being in the five in all 7 seven grades is not the case in the HFNL. The competition is much stronger and it surely is challenging our players abilities and fitness levels to excel that extra step.
The HFNL squad teams will be competing with the state’s best on Sunday 23rd June at the State Netball Hockley Centre in the William Loud Championships. Our club is represented by in these teams - with Rose Wombwell coaching the 13’s team, Sammy Telfer selected in the 13’s, Laura Kelly and Tayla Falconer in the 15’s. We wish them gDon’t forget to come over and support your netball teams, the girls really appreciate the encouragement. Game times – 10am 15’s (Crt 1), 11am 13’s (Crt 1) and 17’s (Crt 2), 12pm A1 (Crt1), A2 (Crt 2) and A grade at 1.15pm.
Love to see your support for the netballers in 2013.
