Drummond to North Melbourne

Former Brisbane Lions Defender Josh Drummond recently retired from the Brisbane Lions has just been appointed to a coaching position with the North Melbourne Football Club.  Part of Drummond's job will include an involvement with the North Ballarat Roosters.

The Drummond name has a historical link with the Avoca FNC.

Josh Drummond is the son of Geoff and Janelle Drummond.

Geoff Drummond is a premiership player for the Bulldogs in 1980 and won the Goalkicking award for the Bulldogs in 1976, 77 and 1980. Drummond won the Maffescioni Award in the Lexton Football League in 1977 which was juidged by the opposing teams.

Janelle Drummond had a distiguished career with the Avoca Netball Club winning numerous Best & Fairest awards.

Hopefully Josh will be able to pay us a visit during the 2013 season.
