The following is a list of Roles and Responsibilities that need to be filled to help the RYE JFC function. If you have certain skills that may lend to a particular role, please make yourself known to the club either prior to or at the AGM. The AGM is a short half hour meeting, followed by those who have been elected for the upcoming season, a Rye JFC Committee Meeting. Maybe you can get involved in a Sub-Committee, focusing on one particular area of the club. The club needs all the help we can get. All positions are declared vacant at the meeting.

President: (Executive Committee)
Chairs meetings, delegates duties, liaises with League; Club members; Auskick and Senior Club; attend monthly League meetings and local community meetings when required.
Vice President (Executive Committee)
Able to chair meetings and represent the Club in the absence of the President. Works with President assists over all administrative areas. Attend monthly League meetings.
Treasurer (Executive Committee)
Maintains the Financial Accounts of the Club, including banking, issuing of cheques, presenting timely and accurate reports and Budgets to the Committee.
Secretary (Executive Committee)
Collects Club mail, takes minutes of meetings, attends League meetings in the absence of President and or Vice President, Liaises with League, types and distributes mail/correspondence as required within club and externally, organises stationery, main contact point for Club. On home games collects game day paperwork and sends it to the League. Oversees running of the club along with President & Vice President.
Social Secretary ((Overseen by Secretary)
Arranges and coordinates a variety of social events for Club members together with a committee of volunteers.
General Committee – one per age group
Attend Committee Meetings “as required”. Assist with all functions of the Rye JFC “as required”. Participate in Sub-Committees. Assists with Home Game duties and acts as a liaison between team and committee.
Canteen Manager
Manages ordering and selling of food and drink stock, together, with a committee of volunteers
Registration Officer (Overseen by Secretary)
Accepts registrations and forwards paperwork onto League. Keeps an updated Club registration data base. Arranges and coordinates registration day with the help of volunteers. Contact person for new members.
Marketing/Fundraising and Sponsorship co-coordinator (Overseen by Vice President)
Markets the Club to maintain its high profile in the community and actively seeks and promotes critical fundraising opportunities.
Property Steward #1 (Overseen by Secretary)
Manages ordering and selling of uniforms and various Club apparel. Available to sell uniform one night a week (child’s training night).
Property Steward #2 (Overseen by Secretary)
Manages distribution of playing jumpers to each team/player. Order as required.
Website / Newsletter / Social Media Editor (Overseen by Secretary)
Maintains club website, produces club newsletter as required and social media.
Game Secretary (Overseen by Secretary)
Records games played by each player. Organises banners, medallions etc… for game milestone events. Order trophies for the end of year club presentation. Organises update of trophy boards.
Grounds Officer (Overseen by President / Vice President)
Conduct risk assessment of playing field at home and away matches. Complete relevant paperwork. Manages any maintenance deficiencies. Marks ground lines.
Coach Coordinator (Overseen by President or Vice President)
Supervisory and support role. Support team coaches. Meet with coaches to discuss developing players’ skills and related matters. Order and manage playing equipment.
Team Manager Coordinator (Overseen by President / Secretary)
Train new Team Managers in Team Manager Role, support Team Managers and liase with Committee as required.
Trainer Coordinator (Overseen by President / Vice President)
Supervisory and support role. Support team trainers. Order and manage medical supplies.
Cleaner (Overseen by President / Secretary)
Maintain clubrooms and toilets.
Rye Sports & Social Committee Rep
Represents the Rye JFC at the Committee’s monthly meetings. Co ordinates helpers for the Rye Gift. Organises nominations for the Rye Sports & Social Awards Night.
RJ Rowley Reserve Committee Rep
Represents the Rye JFC at the committee’s bi-monthly meetings. Forwards on any club requests that need to go to the shire council.
