MEET OUR A GRADE COACH
The Encounter Bay Football Club are extreamly happy to welcome back to the club Greg Brand.
Greg started his football career with the club as a junior colt player, and went on to play senior colts for us before being named as the North Western Australian rules Football league Mail Medalist in 1978. From 1979-1982, he was a Reserves and League player for Sturt football club, then came back to Encounter Bay Football Club as our Senior Colts Coach, which saw him gain a premiership title as Senior Colts Premiership winners in 1984. Greg went on to receive the GSFL Mail medalist runner up before playing for Encounter Bay in the premiership in 1989. Greg moved to Victor Harbor Football club as a mini colts umpire, then went on to coach both junior and senior colts, before taking on the position of A grade coach.
Greg see's his football career as a natural progression to coaching football, at a Senior level, with the aim of achieving A grade premiership, the ultimate goal for any club and coach. He believes that having strong leadership on and off the field is vital to success along with a few other core ingredients such as respect, commitment, pride and self belief.
The club is looking forward to seeing Greg back on the oval, and support him both on and off the field. WELCOME BACK.
