BJFC - Agrees to process and pay EFL registration and increased insurance fees
For many years the Blackburn Junior Football Club (BJFC) has processed and registered all players on the EFL website. For season 2013, the EFL has introduced a new registration process and increased the insurance levy (to cover quadriplegia and paraplegia insurance). The EFL would prefer parents to register their players and pay the increased levy direct to the EFL. BJFC has expressed concerns to the EFL about these requirements, and in order to avoid confusion and to streamline this process, BJFC has decided that for season 2013;
- BJFC will pay the increased EFL registration and insurance levy out of the fees you have paid to the club.
- BJFC will register your son/daughter on the new system on your behalf.
- When registering your son/daughter the BJFC will indicate to the EFL that you do not wish to receive any additional correspondence from the EFL. Should you wish to change this election, you can do so at your own convenience.
We will begin the registration process next week, with an anticipated end date of February 28th, 2013. Once we have registered you son/daughter in the new EFL system, you will receive an email from Sportingpulse, who manage the EFL database, as follows:
Hi, you have successfully joined the Blackburn in the Eastern Football League (EFL).
We have issued you with a username and password, you might need this in the future so please retain this email.
Please do not dispose of this email, as it will contain your user name and password, and you will require it in the future. Once all players details are uploaded we will send an email with a link that will take you directly to your login page. We recommend you click on the link, enter the User/Password above then check and alter your details if required. Please keep this email as well in case you need to update your details. If you have not received the above notification by early March, please contact your team manager.
The Club was unaware of the increased levy and the new registration process until just recently. While our decision to pay the levy and process the registration will come at an increased cost and create more work for the Club, we believe the decision to adopt this approach will make it easier for all concerned.
We ask for your assistance and patience with this process, as we are trying to make this as seamless as possible for you all.
