This week's Issue of the Flanker Magazine features a shot of Ben Power contesting the ruck in the senior game against Knox last Saturday. It also has the match reports from round 15 of the seniors and the second week of the finals for the junior sides. We had 5 sides in the second week of the finals with only 1 being eliminated and 4 going through to the Grand Final in the fourth week and thus enjoying a well-earned rest this week. Therefore there will be no Flanker next week. What a fantastic effort by those 4 sides and indeed all our junior sides this year. They have had a very successful season under the stewardship of first year President, Pete Koger. Details of the finals venues are in Pete's report on page 6 of this edition. Well done to everyone concerned including the Committee, Coaches, Players and of course the all important mums and dads. We have our regular features in Falcon Scoops, the Presidents' reports, all the match reports, team ladders from the EFL as well as all the information on our very important sponsors. We have some snaps from last week's Senior game at Knox Gardens Reserve where the Under 19s and Seniors were victorious. On page 12 we congratulate Matt Fotia for his outstanding achievements as a young cricketer. On the back page we advertise the Annual Club Auction which will be held on Saturday 10th August after the home game against Scoresby featuring special guest Tommy Hafey. One of the lots likely to receive a lot of bids is a collage of the 2003 Grand Final side which is depicted on page 21. Details of all the lots up for auction are on pages 22 and 23. You can also read about the Junior Club's upcoming events including the Under 17 Celebration Night, Presentation Day (at a new venue this year) and the Annual General Meeting on page 31.
