LAST GAME - ROUND 12
O/45's & 35's
Bombers lost to Redcliffe
Tonight saw the first Bayside Bombers Heritage Night at the Bombers training ground. With good numbers at training all season, nineteen players ventured out on the training track to be part of, or witness some vintage threads that had been mothballed for many years. With jerseys dating back to a 1977 Coorparoo Grand Final, it became quite apparent that some items had dramatically shrunk over the years, with some team members failing to recognise this!!!
As training continued we saw Bags lose his jersey due to breathing difficulties and Fiddy chase some more freedom replacing his strides after the onset of chaffing. Coach Tait relished the idea of being able to run around in public, instead of behind closed doors, to sport his figure hugging garb. Hideous jersey award went to Alf with a purple and yellow ensemble which continued to get worse after he decided to accessorise it with a maroon tutu that he apparently only wears when doing the house work.
All in all it was a fun night with Bags, Teale, Carlo, Haze, Taity, Fiddy, Whitey, Aker, Simon, Dukes and Alf digging out the relics.
