Alex Alvaro wins HBF Junior Volunteer Commitment Award
Alex Alvaro, an under 18s player with Armadale Soccer Club, has been announced as a worthy runner up in the recent HBF Junior Volunteer Commitment Awards.
This award followed on from Alex being nominated for the awards back in August 2012 and the story below ran on the local InMyCommunity.com.au web site at the time of Alex's nomination.
Well done Alex, and needless to say that all at Armadale Soccer Club are proud of you for this recognition of your volunteer contribution to the club, the sport and its younger players.

ALEXANDER Alvaro’s work as a volunteer soccer coach earned him a nomination for the HBF Junior Star Awards.
Alex was nominated for the volunteer commitment award by the grandmother of one the boys he coaches.
Alex plays for his school’s team and for the Armadale Junior Soccer Club for the Under-16s Division 1 team.
In addition, he coaches an under-10s team and has worked hard to blend a recently reorganised team.
“Alex has focused very hard on drawing these (new) players into a co-operative team with the emphasis on sportsmanship,” Christine Dunn said.
“In addition to this he is giving individual attention to each player, with advice on the nature of their position or skills to practise at home to improve their skills and self-esteem.
“Alex has a gift for communicating with the team members in a kind and positive manner and is much liked by all the boys and girls in the team,” she said.
Other parents agreed Alex was a remarkable young man.
