Kingston Mayor meets some Cougars

No it’s not a headline from a tabloid but rather an expression of gratitude from the South East Cougars to the city of Kingston.

On Wednesday 9 May 2012 two representatives from the South East Cougars, Madeline Stockdale and Marianna Anthony, presented the mayor of Kingston City Council, John Ronke, with a gift of appreciation from the team for the assistance that we have received through the VCL season in regards to our home ground Kingston Heath.

Since being placed at Kingston Heath by the FFV a couple of years back we have had to learn how to cohabitate with a number of other teams and clinics. However through the efforts of the council rep, Nigel Brown, and our very own Sharon Runciman we have come to a very good arrangement with all parties involved and the South East Cougars are proud to call Kingston Heath home.

Here we have Madie and Marianna presenting the mayor with a framed Cougars shirt which we have been told will be proudly hanging in council chambers very soon.

Thanks to all who have contributed throughout the year, the Cougars hope to be calling Kingston Heath their den for many seasons to come.
