Rivers FC is one of the twelve participating clubs in the Victorian Champions League and incorporates player from:

• Albury Wodonga Football Association
• Cobram Junior Soccer Association
• Goulburn North East Football Association
• Shepparton Junior Soccer Association
• Various other small FFV registered associations.

Victorian Champions League is the pathway program for Football Federation Victoria and is the only way to be identified to represent Victoria in State Squads at the National Championships.

All players in the Rivers FC Zone are welcome to trial for a position within one of our teams.

These squads are Under 13, 14 & 15 Boys Country Squads and Under 13, 15 & 17 Girls State Squads. We currently have 1 player in the Under 15 Girls State Squad and 1 Player and 1 Reserve for the Under 17 Girls State. Boys have not finished trialling yet.

Two players have also picked up scholarships at Maribyrnong College whilst some of the older boys that have gone to Melbourne for Uni have been identified by clubs and are earning a bit of pocket money. One player was also signed by Victory Youth in our first year.

Season 2010 - 2011 sees the introduction of an Under 20's Youth League which is supported by Melbourne Victory and Heart. Their players will be guest players in the squad throughout the season. This competition should provide some of the most competitive football to be seen in Victoria and will be sure to excite the most devoted of the other codes.

Rivers focus is on the development of all parts and participants of the game from volunteers, players and coaches to match officials. We stand by the Victorian Code of Conduct of Sport and FIFA Fair Play. We encourage all to come along but would like you to remember that it takes 100 positive comments to undo 1 negative one.  So look out on the website and come and cheer our aspiring young players.
