Success for Barwon Heads Junior Girl

The club is very proud of the recent success of Jayde Young, one of our Under 9's players.

Jayde decided to take up soccer this year and she proved to be a bit of a natural, turning in fantastic performances as the season progressed. At the end of the season she went along to the regional trials for the FFV Skills Aquisition Program in Geelong. This is a program run by specialist coaches to foster and develop the key skills in players in the 9-12 age category. There were only 14 places in the training squad and Jayde did fantastically well to be choosen from many girls who tried out for the program. Jayde has had a fantastic time and learnt alot from training with other talented players. We look forward to seeing how Jayde has developed when our season restarts in March.

Here is Jayde in her Skills Aquisition kit.
