Team Allocation Objectives

As a club our objective is to get as many boys and girls playing football (Soccer) as possible in a fun and enjoyable environment.

Our grading/team allocation objective is to enable players the best chance to develop as well as grow friendships in a team environment.  This allows all players of various skill levels to enjoy football at a level that is comfortable and fun for all.

All players are invited to begin training at preseason (ie prior to grading/allocation) with their own age group. At the time of grading/team allocation, they may wish to trial with the older age group, for which they are most welcome to

Team allocation for the U9 boys will now be Wed 27th March.  The club and coaches wishes to apologise for the rescheduling of this team allocation for originally set for Wed 20th March.

Format

Trials will be assessed in game simulation in different formats of small sided games

Trial Criteria / Things we look for

  • First touch
  • 1 v 1
  • Running with the ball
  • Striking the ball
  • Two footedness
  • Agility, balance and coordination
  • Game understanding and decision making
  • Ability to learn and be coachable
  • Eagerness, attitude and perseverance

 Annoucements:

  •  Junior (U2-18)
    • Placements and offers for Junior A side and U12 Kangaroos will be made by email.
  • SSF (U8-11)
    • Allocations will be completed at training sessions.
