Senior coaching appointments for 2013
Numurkah District Soccer Club announces that Mark Johansson has agreed to coach the Open Men in season 2013.
Continuing club president, Russell Brown said that he was delighted to welcome Mark Johansson to the club as he brings with him over 35 years of soccer experience as a player, coach, referee and committee member.
“Here at Numurkah we are looking forward to a great season in 2013 where our open men become more competitive and our open women hopefully go all the way!” said Russell Brown. “Mark’s appointment is integral to the development of this club and his enthusiasm and belief in the vision Numurkah District Soccer Club has for its future, suggests that this is a partnership that will see great things happen.”
Mark Johansson also believes that hard work at training and at home leads to bigger and better things on game day and vows that while this year’s pre-season will be a hard one, the rewards will come throughout the year.
“I have a vision for the Open Men and after the friendly game on Wednesday night with Shepparton Street Soccer, I know that, with some work, we can turn the team around and be much more competitive” claimed Mark.
Russell Brown is also pleased to confirm that Nick Bakogianis and Leanne Rawson will remain at the helm of the Open Women’s team where it is hoped that the women will build on their success of 2012.
Preseason starts for the Open Men at 5.00pm on Sunday 6 January 2013 and will be followed by a light meal. All club members are invited to join in.
