TEAM MANAGER 2016

 

This is the best job in the club, you get to mix with some great players, watch the game from the best view point and it is a job without pressure. Layout your expectations early and the job is a breeze.

Pre-Match

• Layout jerseys for the players.
• Fill out the Match Book and ensure all players sign (seniors) and that all Team Officials (Coach, Manager, etc) who will be in the Technical Area (Bench) are recorded.
• Ensure the Match Sheet is handed to the Referees no less than 15 minutes prior to the start of the game. If a Home game payment to the Referees must also be made. If requested by the Referee you may need to find 1 or 2 linesman to facilitate the game proceeding.
• At home games ensure you have a Ground Official for the game.
• Assist the Coach as required before and during the game. The level of involvement in this area is up to you. Filling water bottles, helping with injuries etc. etc.

Post-Match

• Collect the Match Book from the Referee. Note: Check: Score, Scorers and whether any Cards given are against the correct players. It is much easier to correct this with the Referee than later. Sign the Match Sheets.
• Ensure all Jerseys are returned. Educate players to turn Shirts and Shorts to be the right side out. If you have somebody willing to wash jerseys that’s great but it is a good option to organise a roster for washing in order to share the work.
• At home games ensure the Change Room used is cleaned and swept out. Players need to take responsibility for putting all tape and bottles in the bin and again a good option is to organise a roster in order to share the work.
• If you are the last game on the field for that day, organise the corner flags to be collected, the lights to be turned off and the Change Rooms locked.
• Enter the results on the Sporting Pulse website.
