This Sunday sees Albury Thunder's first home game for the 2013 season.

Due to Licencing laws NO ALCOHOL is allowed to be brought into the ground:
Security will be on site for our first home game checking cars before entry and patrolling the grounds to ensure no alcohol is present.

There is a licensed bar within the grounds.

Important Community announcement:

We will be abiding by the new NSW Government new requirements, whereby smoking is banned from spectator areas of sports grounds or other recreational areas during organised sporting events which came into force from 7th January this year. Penalties can apply.more

ALBURY Thunder sensation Ben Jeffery has turned his back on offers from throughout NSW to stay at Greenfield Park for another year.
The Weissel medal favourite said yesterday he had no hesitation signing on for another 12 months after coach Josh Cale signalled his intentions to enter a fifth season as coach.

Albury to host 2012 Preseason Match - Raiders vs Storm

The NRL have confirmed that the Group 9 region will hold two NRL Preseason matches on February 2012.

Albury will host the Raiders who will take on the Storm at the Lavington Sportsground on Saturday 11th February 2012.

One week later, the Bulldogs will take on the Raiders at McDonalds Park in Wagga on Saturday 18th February 2012.

Albury Thunder take out Good Sports Award

On the back of a successful 2011 season where the Albury Thunder took out the Group 9 Club Championship as well as the Burmeister Shield Competition, they have taken out the Goodsports Award for Southern NSW for all their hard work off the field.

The Group congratulates the Thunder on their achievement.

Training for all grades, 16, 18 and seniors will start on Tuesday January 18 and then every Thursday/Tuesday at Greenfield Park at 6pm.

Major Bonanza Draw

The major prize draw is set down for the 19th of December at Bradys Hotel from 4:30 onwards with the draws commencing @ 5:30pm. It would be good to see as many Blackcats, players and rugby league supporters as possible at the draw for a christmas ale and a catch up.

 

The bistro will be operating and meals will be available.

 

We still have some tickets available for sale. These tickets when purchased shall will be selected from a board where they will be face down and shall be eligible for any prizes , if any, the number has won in previous draws, as well as being eligible for the major prize draws on the 19th.

 

Please contact Glenn on 0401 361 007 if you wish to reinvest any weekly draw winnings or wish to purchase any outstanding tickets.

 

For those who have tickets outstanding or know of anyone with tickets not yet returned, please get them back to Glenn or myself ASAP to assist in finalizing sales etc.

LPO to hold the 2010 Group 9 GRAND FINAL

At the General Meeting the Group 9 Clubs voted Lavington Panthers Oval to host the 2010 XXXX GOLD Grand Final.
Lavington defeated Fisher Park at Cootamundra, Nixon Park at Temora and McDonalds Park in Wagga to host the event.

Voting under a preferential system, Lavington defeated Wagga by one vote after the other grounds were discounted early in the count.more
