About Seagulls Junior Rugby League

Tannum/Boyne Seagulls Junior Rugby League Football Club is part of the Gladstone District Junior Competition and we currently field teams in all ages groups from Under 6's to Under 16's. Dennis Park is the home of the Seagulls and is located off Pioneer Drive, Boyne Island. Our home ground combines great facilities with a wonderful family atmosphere. Seagulls welcomes all new and existing players to the 2014 Season.

Club Presentation Day: Saturday 30th August, 2014. Time to be confirmed. Dennis Park Fields.  

We are nearly at the end of the season, with teams in competition ages (U11 & up) which will not make the finals, having their last game next week (1st and 2nd of August). 

The first semi-final weekend on 8th – 9th August will see 3rd play 4th and 1st play 2nd in ages U11 – U15; while in the U16 age group 1st will play 2nd  only (3rd will have the week off). Some of these games will be played on Friday night as has been done all season. Junior Grand Final Day will be 23rd August 2014.

The winner of 1st v 2nd in each grade will progress to the grand final on Saturday 23rd August. 

The loser of 1st v 2nd will play winner of 3rd v 4th in ages U11-15 on Saturday 16th August, for the right to play in the grand final the following week. In under 16 the loser of 1st v 2nd will play 3rd with the winner progressing to the grand final. (Note there will be no Friday night games on the last two weekends of the season).

Under 6-10 games will continue to be played as normal until Saturday 16th August.  Note there was an error in the Calendar sent out at the start of the season showing under 6 having their last game on Saturday 9th August, the under 6 will in fact finish with the U6-U10s on Saturday 16th August. All under 6-10 players will receive a trophy after the completion of their game on that day.

Or email query to seagullsjuniors @outlook.com Please do not contact coach directly.  (u6s players must have turned 5 at time of registration). All new players must have copy of birth certificate. Parents & players must attend to sign on players and pay non refundable deposit 

Club Canteen Hours:   Wednesday & Thursdays from 5.30pm to 6.30pm -  A committee memeber will be available to take new club paperwork, rego money, merchandise etc. Please note that due to work committments etc these times/dates could change without notice. The canteen will be closed when no games are scheduled, school holidays and wet days

All players must wear current club shorts and socks: Club Shorts - $40, Club socks $10, Other merchandise available are club shirts non players $40, Small Backpacks - $25, Large Backpacks - $30, Player headgear $55, Club Caps - $15 & Stubby Coolers $7.

Please contact your team coach for any queries in regards to training day and times. Only registered players can and play in games. Closed in shoes must be worn at all time during training.

 Start of the Season for U7 to U16 - 14th/15th March, 2014

Under 6's season to start -  TBA

Please note: U14, U15 & U16s will play Friday nights at various venues; please note teams may not play the same time every week.

 All games for U6s to U13s will be played mostly at Gladstone Junior Field - Briffney Creek, Harvey Road. 

Safety Issue - We have some parents dropping players off at the bottom on the fields and players are jumping over the fence for training. For the safety of our players please ensure that all players are dropped off and collected from the council car park provided.

SUPERVISION OF CHILDREN: We ask that parents/guardians supervise children while at the fields for training. This is to ensure all our players/visitors are safe at all times. Please ensure that children do not climb up the goal posts, throw rocks on the fields or play in the gear shed. We ask that no one play on top of the dug outs on the senior fields. We ask that all rubbish is to be collected and placed in the bins provided before leaving the fields.

Please note: Under 18s will now be part of the Seniors and play at the same times as Senior Football on Saturdays and Sundays at various venues. Training is Tuesday & Thursday at 6.30pm
