The boys all arrived at 6.00am for their briefing of the day, and then it was on!! Angel Duke and his merry men had our boys petrified, confused and thinking, "what have we got ourselves into?"
After an hour or so of the boys learning a few lessons they were off, heading to Sunshine Beach for a bit of puzzle solving. Then off to A-Bay for some team discussions for the year, highlighted by a Nudie walking past showing of all the glory. The boys then trudged through the National Park to Main Beach.
Main beach was a swim out and dive down to identify items in a crab pot which also proved to be a really good cool down for the boys. During this exercise we saw Jesus rise in the body of Biddy as he drowned, broke his ankle and ended up finishing the day.
Next stop was Noosa Hill. The boys had to get 2 trailers up to The Lookout. Only trouble was that one trailer had only g one wheel. To their credit they teamed together and put one trailer in the other and powered up the hill, great result.
A slow walk to the dog beach and river mouth, then it was back on, 4 groups doing 4 exercises which were called- "lost and found", "sandy nuts" ( I think you can work that out), " fill the bucket/ sand castles" and last one "water babies" where boys put on blacked out masks in the river and played follow the leader while Angel and D.K played games with their legs in the murky water.
Finally the boys were heading home with an equipment carry back to the club. Just when they thought it was all over there was one final exercise. The boys were told they were going to be gassed, Wow what a look on their faces!! They were brought into change room in groups of six, with blackout masks on, not knowing what was coming, then had water sprayed on them, the reactions were sensational.
Finally all done , the boys settled in for a few beverages and a great meal. All in all sensational day and special thanks to Angel, D.K, Big Dory, Jar Jar and Uncle
