MRSC HEAT POLICY FOR TRAINING VENUES
Macedon Ranges Shire Council have just released the 2018/19 Fire Danger Staffing and Service Provision Policy. The purpose of the policy is to set clear guidelines for the usage of Council facilities and the provision of Council services on ‘Fire Danger’ Rating days, as displayed below.
Please be aware that if a Code Red day is declared the following centres will be closed:
- Buffalo Sports Stadium
- Macedon Community Centre
- Facilities will be closed from 12 midnight to 12 midnight on code red days ( 24 hours)
- Strictly no hire on these days , programs must be cancelled
Attached please find council temperature guidelines - please be aware of these guidelines and implement these climate guidelines for extreme heat for your programs
If severe or extreme fire rating day – facility will be available for use however may not be staffed, it is recommended that you ensure you have measures in place to keep informed about conditions and any fires in the area.
