Coaches Review
Premiership season!
What a great 2 words to start my end of year review with. From our first training session this year I felt our team would have an enjoyable season. I realised that our team was will-ing to listen and learn to what our goals were for the season. It wasn't all about football, our goals were to create a great team environment and for all players to know that everyone’s role and place in the team were as equally important. I know we achieved that goal in more ways than I could have imag-ined. The courage, endeavour and skill our team brought to each game were a pleasure to coach and to watch each week.
I could not have done the coaching this year without the help and support of my coaching group. I would like thank the fol-lowing people for their roles: Michelle Rix with the water run-ning, washing the jumpers, setting up the team management prior to game day and the support Michelle gave me on train-ing nights each week was invaluable. Paul Cook, for his guid-ance on game day, at training sessions and his support all year. Russell Brown, team manager’s role on game day. Steve Quinn, our trainer all year and for his help and support on training nights. To all the parents for their help on game days and at training. Also, the support Craig Bennetts, Luke Dowling and Sue Ladzik gave me throughout the year made my role much easier.
But most of all our team, premiership players!!! Every single one of you deserve to be called premiership players and I am very proud to say I was part of your 2011 year and look for-ward to watching each one of you develop over the next few years .
Thanks
Paul Rix
