Sherrin Elliott has won the prestigous 2012 Greater Sydney Juniors AFL Volunteer of the Year award tonight at the GSJ AFL Presentation Night held at St Ives. Nominations for this award come from all Junior AFL clubs in the Sydney area, from Hornsby to Kellyville to Maroubra to Pittwater and everywhere in between - an area supporting 23 Junior AFL Clubs.
Sherrin Elliott has been involved with the Pittwater Tigers for the past 14 years and has held any number of positions from canteen manager to registrar to gear steward to President (well, practically anyway!). You will find Sherrie's cheerful smile greeting you at every home game where she is always on hand from the first game of the day to the last. She might help you with uniform, serve you in the canteen, run out with an ice pack for an injured player, or just cheer your kids along with you from the sidelines. People like Sherrie make our club great, and are the reason that we have so many new registrations and recommendations every year.
Sherrie went on to present the Kieren Jack medal at the Presentation Evening, the inaurgural presentation of the award for the U16s Division 1 Best & Fairest player for the region.
Thanks Sherrie for all you've done for the Pittwater Tigers and congratulations on receiving this fantastic award. You deserve it!!
