Reserves
First Quarter:
A disastrous opening term, in which Koondrook-Barham kicked 8 goals 4 to just two behinds, left the Reserves playing catch up football thereafter.
The opening term was all the Raiders as they piled on the goals at will against a depleted Dogs line up. It was not until the 15 minute mark of the quarter that the Dogs managed to take the ball into their forward line where they managed just the two behinds.
Quarter Time Score: Tyntynder 0-2-2 to K-B 8-4-52
Second Quarter:
The introduction of Jared Frame, Kaylem Hartley and Matt Lanigan, who had all been involved in the earlier Colts game, appeared to provide a lift to the Dogs at the start of the second quarter.
After Ollie Wise snapped a point in the opening minute of the quarter, Michael Crowe followed up with a lovely snap goal following strong team play from Tim Triplett, Sean Sennar and Crowe.
The Dogs were starting to play more like a unit with Arty Merrett, Marc Jones and Gary Goodes all lifting their work rate and when Matt Lanigan snapped a lovely goal they were at least making some inroads into the deficit.
If crucial and relatively easy misses from Frost, Lanigan and Wise had resulted in goals, the Dogs could well have been right back in the game at half time but instead still trailed by 37 points.
The break was not only welcomed by the players as conditions were warm, but also by the Central Umpire in “Bubbles” Hawkins, who needed some water to wash the dirt from his tongue as it had been dragging along the ground he was doing it that tough.
Half Time Score: Tyntynder 2-6-18 to K-B 8-7-55
Third Quarter:
A couple of early behinds to the Raiders were followed shortly after by a great goal from Crowe to keep the Dogs marching forward.
Crowe marked well shortly after and had a further chance to score a major but missed.
Suddenly the Raiders lifted and they made the Dogs pay for a couple of turnovers, resulting in three goals to allow them to restore their comfortable lead at three quarter time.

Final Quarter:
The Dogs were determined to finish off strongly and at least leave the ground with some pride restored.
Craig Fletcher, who had been competing hard all day, snapped a great goal early in the quarter.
Shortly after Jarid Goodes was ordered off the ground for disputing an umpires decision but this did not seem to slow the Dogs push forward.
Cousin Gary Goodes was faring better as he showed great pace to burn off his opponents to score a good goal on the run.
A near miss to Lanigan was followed by Crowe finding Goodes who kicked another good goal on the run.
Wise almost marked in the square shortly after, but Lanigan managed to swoop on the crumbs to goal.
The Raiders then managed a goal against the flow but this did not slow the Dogs as Corey Frost narrowly missed after marking strongly.
Greg Sait was still giving his all as he took an excellent mark deep in defence to repel the Raiders thrust forward.
Gary Goodes capped off a fine game shortly after as he scored his third goal to provide more respectability to the scoreboard as the siren sounded.
After trailing by 50 points at the end of the first term, the Dogs were clearly the better side thereafter to finally go down by 32 points.
Final Score: Tyntynder 8-10-58 defeated by K-B 13-12-90
Colts
First Quarter:
Again this round the Colts were forced to take the ground with just 17 players and kicking against the wind in the opening quarter made things even more difficult.
Koondrook Barham did all the attacking in the quarter but the Dogs back line did a fine job in restricting them to just the two goals. The efforts of Brock Storer, Zac Pocock, Kaylem Hartley and David Baker were quiet outstanding however despite their efforts the Dogs were only able to twice go inside 50 for the quarter but were unable to manage a score.
Quarter Time Scores: Tyntynder 0-0-0 to K B 2-3-15
Second Quarter:
Coach Reece Collins made some crucial moves at the first break including moving Matt Willox into the ruck and immediately the Dogs looked a better side.
A strong contested mark by Matt Lanigan resulted in a point to open the dogs account. Shortly after Zac Rundell-Gorden received a 50 metre penalty, with the resulting kick saw David Baker nudge his opponent in the back allowing Baker to snap a lovely goal to opens the Dogs account.
The Dogs on ballers in Jakeb Templeton, Mitchell Seton-Stewart, Luke Rundell-Gorden, Bryce Delmenico and Willox were now finding plenty of the ball as Lanigan’s snap from the boundary hit the post, closely followed by a further point being the result of a Luke Rundell-Gorden snap on goal.
Good team play saw Kenneth Echaluce handball to Hartley who kicked truly from 40 metres to give the Dogs the lead.
The Raiders at last moved the ball forward but strong pressure down back saw them manage two behinds only.
Matt Willox influence on the game continued to grow as his dash through the centre allowed him to find Zac Rundell-Gorden who handpassed to Lanigan who kicked a lovely 40 metre goal on the run.
Against the trend of the game, the Raiders were able to scramble a goal at the non scoring end to level the scores up again.
In the last minute of the quarter, Willox was able to snap a fine goal from close to the 50 metre line to give the Dogs the lead at half time.
Half Time Scores: Tyntynder 4-5-29 to K-B 3-5-23
Third Quarter:
A wonderful team goal, after Pocock found Jake Gilbert, to Lanigan, to Hartley, early in the third term increased the Dogs lead.
A heavy clash in defence between teammates Storer and Templeton resulted in Templeton being forced to leave the ground with concussion.
The Raiders began to push hard and as a result managed back to back goals, after a couple of near misses, to give them back the lead.
A strong mark to Willox, allowed him to pin point Hartley, who marked strongly and kicked accurately.
Seton-Stewart, who was working hard in the centre, found Hartley at half forward, who passed to Lanigan who marked, played on and goaled to give the Dogs a 9 point lead at the final change.
Three Quarter Time Score: Tyntynder 7-6-48 to K-B 5-9-39
Final Quarter:
An early goal at the start of the last quarter to the Raiders lifted the tempo of the game as they could smell a chance of causing an upset.
Delmenico worked hard to break out of the centre to find Lanigan deep in the pocket and his left foot snap brought up six points.
Shortly after Seton-Stewart again found Lanigan, who handpassed over the top to a recovering Templeton, who goaled from the square to provide the Dogs with what looked like an unbeatable 15 point lead.
The Dogs attacked again but a desperate tackle on Delemnico saw him penalised for holding the ball. The Raiders drive the ball forward from the free resulting in them scoring a lovely running goal to get them back to just a 9 point deficit.
The Dogs pushed forward from the centre bounce but again the Raiders were rewarded for a fine tackle as Hartley tried to take them on. The Raiders were playing on at every opportunity as the Dogs suddenly looked tired, and a strong mark inside 50 saw them get to with 3 points.
The tide had turned as the Raiders were suddenly all over the ground winning the ball, after scoring a long behind, they quickly drove the ball back forward from the kick in to see a 30 metre snp bring up full points to provide them with a 4 point lead.
From the centre bounce it was all the Raiders as they pushed forward immediately resulting in another goal to give them a handy 10 point advantage.
The Dogs attempted to lift and a fine solo effort from Willox saw his long shot narrowly miss bringing up six points.
The Raiders took the ball from the kick out down forward with ease as they peppered the goals, missing two gettable chances to only bring up minor scores.
The Dogs had run their race and to rub insult into the wound, a strong mark right on the siren allowed the Raiders to increase the margin to 17 points as the siren rang to provide them with a fine victory.
