Reserves
Full Match Report:
The Reserves team took to the field with a real mix of the young and the old as they were again forced to use 4 players from the Colts to make up the numbers.
The opening term saw the Dogs kicking with the aid of a three to four goal wind but they were unable to take advantage of this at all as was Lake Boga who managed the only goal of the quarter. Mistakes from players of both teams were prevalent in this quarter. It was not until the 18 minute mark of the quarter that the Dogs managed to score when Craig Fletcher managed to kick a behind off the ground, followed shortly before the siren by a snapped point to Darren Both.
Term two was all Boga as they used the wind perfectly to completely dominate play to kick six goals straight for the quarter. The only light for the Dogs came via some strong use of his body by Ollie Wise to allow Wayne Cook to earn a free in the square, scoring a major with his kick.
The breeze did appear to have dropped during the half time break, but still favoured the Dogs in the third term. They boys certainly lifted their work rate but struggled to break a very experienced Lake Boga half back line. Boga managed two goals against the flow of play before strong work by Barry Benfield saw him drive the ball long to half forward where Matt Lanigan marked, played on and kicked a lovely running goal from 40 metres.
The last quarter again was all Boga as they piled on six goals 8 behinds as they won the ball with ease all over the ground. The Dogs managed one behind after a great run by Gary Goodes down the far wing, taking three bounces and a blind turn before narrowly missing with his kick from 30 metres.

Colts
First Quarter:
The Colts managed to take the field for just the second time this season with 18 players, as they took on the ladder leaders on their home turf.
Lake Boga kicked with the aid of the breeze in the opening term, and scored the first goal after just two minutes of play.
Good play by Luke Rundell-Gordon in the centre square saw him find a leading Matt Lanigan at Centre Half Forward, who passed short to Lachie Gilbert, who then found an unmarked Bryce Delmenico in the goal square who dribbled through an easy goal.
Lachie Gilbert took the full force of the ball, just after it was kicked, flush in the side of the head, but after spending a number of minutes in the hands of the trainers, he managed to continue playing.
The majority of the play was in the Boga forward line as they managed to score three more goals before the quarter time siren.
Kaylem Hartley, Mitch Seton-Stewart, moved onto the dangerous Capone, Zac Pocock, Zac Rundell-Gordon and Julian Bishop were all working hard down back and without their efforts the deficit would have been even more.
Quarter Time Scores: Tyntynder 1-0-6 to Lake Boga 4-3-27
Second Quarter:
A good kick out of defence by Hartley found Willox, who kicked long into the forward line where Bo Mitchell won the ball, but his running shot from 30 metres was off line.
Willox was involved again shotly after as he tapped the ball to Will Smith whose lovely pass found Lanigan, who kicked truly from 20 metres.
Delmenico then found Hartley who marked well before immediately playing on to find Willox who then found Lanigan only 20 metres out straight in front. Unfortunately this time his kick just floated off line.
Boga managed to work the ball forward and under pressure the Dogs defence made a couple of errors which resulted in a goal against the swell.
Willox then worked hard to again drive the ball deep into the forward line where Lanigan swooped on the ball but his snap again only managed a behind. From the kick in, Lachie Gilbert was rewarded for a superb tackle and from 45 metres he slotted through a lovely goal.
The Dogs defence was still working hard but they were a bit unlucky to have a free paid against them in the goal square resulting in another goal to Boga.
Another forward thrust by the Dogs allowed Gilbert to gather on the boundary but his snap only managed to bring up one flag.
Luke Rundell-Gordon, now in defence, worked hard to clear a forward move by Boga, finding Gilbert who after taking a bounce found Lanigan, who marked and kicked major from 30 metres out just before the half time siren to keep the Dogs in the game.
Half Time Scores: Tyntynder 4-4-28 to Lake Boga 6-5-35
Third Quarter:
Shortly after the commencement of the third quarter, Zac Pocock took a very heavy knock to the head but displayed excellent courage to play on. Bogs attacked early but they were off line with a couple of shots on goal recording minor scores.
The Dogs were working hard and after a rushed behind, Hartley found Lanigan who was again off line. He then marked the kick in, short passed to Gilbert who was also off line with his shot on goal.
Boga lifted a notch and two quick goals was almost enough to put the game out of reach for the Dogs this far out. Good hands from Hartley to Gilbert who with a long handball found Lanigan and at last another Dogs goal.
Luke Rundell-Gordon again did well across half back, onto Mitch Seton-Stewart, to Willox, to Delmenico who then found Hartley but his long shot narrowly missed. Julian Bishop continued his hard work up back only to be let down by some average kicking.
The Dogs had worked hard to remain the game but two late goals inside the last minute of the quarter to Boga certainly was going to make their task tough in the final term.
Three Quarter Time Score: Tyntynder 5-8-38 to Lake Boga 10-7-67
Final Quarter:
Boga attacked from the bounce and after a strong mark in the square resulted in a goal, the game was almost gone.
A wonderful tackle by Jake Templeton, plus the resulting 50 metre penalty which took him to the top of the square, allowed him to goal and close the margin.
Gilbert then kicked long from the centre to the pocket where quick thinking by Lanigan saw him soccer a lovely goal off the ground.
The Dogs were pushing hard as Kenny Echaluse knocked the ball to Lanigan who found Hartley with his left and from 30 metres he snagged another major to close the gap to 17 points.
Unfortunately Boga managed a quick goal in reply before Templeton found Lanigan who missed a very gettable shot, then Templeton too was off line after Hartley had worked extremely hard to send the ball forward.
Hartley, having a great game, again broke free, kicked long where Lanigan marked and played on to snap a nice goal from close to the boundary. The Dogs continued to attack in the final minutes but again were off line with two final snaps on goal before the siren sounded.
This loss places huge pressure on the Dogs if they are to reach the finals this year, however they will be boasted in the coming weeks with the return of key players James Morrison and Dylan Ward.
Final Scores: Tyntynder 9-11-65 defeated by Lake Boga 13-7-85
