Reserves Full Match Report:
The Reserves team was completely outplayed by a younger, stronger and far more superior team in their clash with Tooleybuc – Manangatang on Saturday.
The Dogs midfielder and backs battled hard all day were whenever they did manage to drive the ball forward it was repelled very rapidly.
The only score managed by the Dogs was a fine goal by Joseph (Hubba) Kelly just prior to the half time break.
Colts players backing up for a second game, Kaylem Hartley, Cas Mitchell and Will Smith all performed well and could hold their heads high at games end.
Sean Sennar, Corey Frost, Tim Triplett, Michael Crowe, Dane Koetsveld, Ben Kelly and Marc Jones also all battled hard throughout the game.

First Quarter:
Again the Colts were forced to take the field with only seventeen players and the loss of big man Matt Willox (overseas) would no doubt be felt heavily.
The Saints looked a very competitive unit early and their lowly position on the ladder certainly was not evident in their efforts.
The Dogs opened their scoring account when Matt Lanigan roved the tap from a boundary throw in near the point post to snap a lovely goal.
Mitch Seton-Stewart, Luke Rundell-Gordon and Bryce Delmenico were very prominent in this quarter across the middle and continually drove the ball forward.
Kaylem Hartley to Delmenico was good play and he kicked truly to bring up full points.
Shortly after Zac Pocock was sensation near the clubrooms to avoid the tackle and score a long 45 metre goal.
A Saints goal right on the quarter time siren was just reward for their efforts and reminded the Dogs players that this game was not going to be a walk in the park.
Quarter Time Scores: Tyntynder 3-3-21 to Tooleybuc-Manangatang 1-0-6
Second Quarter:
The Dogs pushed forward early with Seton-Stewart in everything around the packs and Rundell-Gordon still dominating his wing.
Lachie Gilbert worked hard across half forward to earn a free and goal but the Saints were not lying down.
Julian Bishop, Will Smith and Kaylem Hartley were in everything down back and their desperation was outstanding. Bo Mitchell was also having his best game for the season.
The Dogs attached again and Gilbert and Lanigan were involved in some fine team play that allowed Lanigan to snap another major.
Dylan Ward, in his first game for the season due to a shoulder injury, was starting to gain confidence as he held a number of strong marks.
Delmenico was playing like a man possessed and his endeavour won him the next contest and he kicked forward where Lanigan marked and kicked his third.
The Saints were not to be denied and after a couple of misses brought about by strong pressure by the Dogs defence, they managed to bring up their second to keep them in the game.
Smith to Seton-Stewart to Gilbert to Lanigan was good play and allowed Kenny Echaluce to swoop on a loose ball at back of the pack and kick a goal.
Half Time Scores: Tyntynder 7-4-46 to Tooleybuc-Manangatang 2-5-17
Third Quarter:
The Saints again lifted at the start of this quarter as the stardard of the game lifted another notch.
Jaceb Templeton really worked his way into the game in this quarter and his ability to run to a contest was clearly a factor in him winning plenty of the ball.
Cas Mitchell was also gaining in confidence as the game went on.
Delmencio was rewarded for his hard work with a fine goal and shortly after Ward marked strongly and found David Baker who kicked truly.
The Saints were not to be denied as they kicked two quick goals in reply to ensure they remained in the game.
Smith was playing the game of his life across half back and without his efforts the Saints would have been much closer.
Seton-Stewart seemed to have the ball on a string and was rewarded for his hard work when he goaled.
But again the Saints responded with a quick reply as their bigger boys were proving dangerous.
Rundell-Gordon was still finding space on his wing and with pace and a pin point pass he found a leading Lanigan who kicked his fourth.
Right on the siren the Saints big centre half forward marked and goaled to keep some interest in the contest for the last quarter.
Three Quarter Time Score:
Tyntynder 11-7-73 to Tooleybuc-Manangatang 6-6-36
Final Quarter:
The final quarter turned into a real battle of defences with both sides giving their all.
The Dogs kept the Saints in the game with inaccuracy in front of goal as they missed a number of simple chances.
Lachie Gilbert used his soccer skills to kick one off the ground to bring up his second but again the Saints were quick to reply with back to back majors.
Ward was really starting to look dangerous up forward but his kicking was a little wayward.
Templeton, Seton-Stewart, Hartley and Pocock were all still working hard and winning plenty of the ball.
Hartley (or was it Ward) marked strongly and kicked a lovely goal from 45 metres to seal the game.
The Dogs win was the result of a good team effort and they deserved their victory.
Special mention must be made to Will Smith, Julian Bishop, Cas Mitchell and Mohammed Mahdawi who all played fine games down back.
The return of James Morrison and Matt Willox for the next round will be welcomed as the Dogs will need to be in their game as they take on ladder leaders and premiership favourites Woorinen.
Final Scores: Tyntynder 13-14-92 defeated by Tooleybuc-Manangatang 8-7-55
