The atmosphere in the rooms before the game was similar to that expected in the season proper, and that transferred to the ground. After a few early "blemishes" the skills lifted as the cobwebs were dusted off. The Demons playing in white NCFL jumpers, a "one off" shift from their traditional Red and Blue guernsey, took on Tyntynder in the true spirit of the game. The Dogs had a bit more match conditioning and edged away in the latter part of the contest. It was a genuine hitout that capped off a tough pre season and rewarding "Night Series"campaign. Our Neballers were described by the Wyche opposition as being "extremeley disciplined" - Wyche Narraport A Grade Coach Rhonda speaking of clean, hard fought matches and of our netballers "tight style of play" -well done girls.
The Bulldogs still have an extended wait until their first CMFL game against Woorinen - a bye followed by the Easter break. The opening bounce can't come quick enough for those of us who follow the Tyntynder Football Netball club. Go Dogs!
Many thanks to the Wyche Narraport Committee, players and supporters who hosted the inaugural 'Sister club Practice Match" - in particular Merv (President and Goal umpire),Marty (Coach), Adrian, Hop, Eddie (who umpired the match) Trev, Harv, Glenda, Rhonda and Dottie.
The "Whisperer" was happy to enjoy the company of many former team mates at the social club. "Brockie" "Wid", "Flange", Allies", Grunter", Eddie", and Maxxy White.
