Popular with his peers and always supportive of our junior footballers, Charlie is a "home grown" Bulldog player who is known for his loyalty to the club and for his love of the red, white and blue jumper.
An unsuspecting Carroll who was present on the night to "support the juniors" was called to the front to accept his framed "number 3" jumper. This number has been synoNymous with Brad during his career with the Dogs and was presented in recognition of having played 300 senior games this year.
In presenting the jumper Ross said "his many and much lauded footballing a chievements aside, Brad is incredibly loyal to the club and is a fine example to the junior footballers coming through"
With his young daughter by his side, Brad remained "up the front" for a second "surprise"when Ross went on to present him with Life Membership of the Tyntynder Football Netball Club.
Following in the footbsteps of his Grandfather "Hec" Cameron, his Father Rod Carroll, his mother Dawn Carroll, and his uncle Russell Cameron, Brad is now an incredible fIfth member of this family to achieve Life Membership of our club.
In accepting his Life Membership in front of crowd of approxinately 400 who had turned out in force for junior football / netball presentation night, the normally quitely spoken Carroll spoke of pride, loyalty and sticking around to play with your mates. Carroll spoke directly to the young footballers and netballers present and asked "Why would you want to be anywhere else?" Going on to say "my mates are here, this is our club, stick around and lets take it to the next level"
With members of his extended family also present, Brad thanked his wife Kasey and his parents Dawn and Rod for their support over many years.
Carroll is most deserving of Life Membership of the Tyntynder Football Netball Club. Congratulations Brad.
