From the regional winners, 15 Victorian finalists were chosen across the award categories for recognition at the annual Victorian AFCA Coach of the Year Awards conducted last night. Also recognized are the TAC Cup and VFL Coach of the Year.
Mark Williams was the key note speaker on the night and was successful in engaging the large crowd present with a candid and insightful look into the world of an AFL Coach.
The AFCCA Youth Coach Of The Year Award was presented by AFL Legend Stan Alves who spoke of the significant contribution to football by those standing on the stage next to him. Well done to Max who has a long and sucessful history of coaching youth at local and Interleague levels. Involved aross all levels of football including umpiring and, until last year "Masters" football, Max was in good company on that stage and congratulations must go to Phillip McIntyre of the Cobram FNC who was the eventual winner of that particular award.
Well done to all winners and finalists, especially Daryl Marr who took out the Auskick AFCA Award last night. Daryl is well known to us at Tyntynder via a close association with the annual CMFNL Auskick MCG Grid Games.
