Gisborne Soccer Club is pleased to announce that David Gunter has accepted the offer to be the Assistant/Reserves Coach for our mens squad.
Mr Gunter, pictured left in the most up to date picture we could be bothered looking for, officially joined the club for Season 2015.
Prior to this he was involved in the club by running "Social Soccer", a pre season kick around open to anyone 15 years and older, which he still runs each year.
Since officially joining the club Dave has been heavily involved in organising and playing in our Sunday mens squad, which in 2015 gained promotion from Metro League 7 to Metro League 5 before finishing 4th in 2016. He has also been playing in and supporting the Saturday mens squad during this time.
The club is excited to have the experience, passion and enthusiasm that Mr Gunter brings to the Assistant Coaching role. Dave is a wonderful club man and is the perfect fit as the club looks to strengthen the ties between Saturday and Sunday players, bringing everyone together as one playing squad.
We wish Mr Gunter well in in his new player/coach role.
