Besides some strong additions to their squad, the Power will also be sporting a new look with the arrival of a new set of jumpers for the coming season.
The jumpers are modelled off the current version of Port Adelaide Football Club in the AFL, with a V on the front to go with the teal, black and white.
The Power have come on in leaps and bounds in recent seasons, with the club certainly heading in the right direction with bold decisions being made on and off the field.
“We wanted a fresh look, something new to get excited about,” said club president Mark Tilders.
“The design has come up really well and a lot of the boys are really excited about donning the new strip.”
The club’s main focus was to keep the combination of colours that represents all of the merged clubs that have formed CDHBU.
The letters ‘CDHBU’ are emblazoned proudly on the back of the jumper above the players’ number.
“Keeping our history was the number one priority,” Tilders told the Free Press.
“We will never forget where we came from; just as much as we are focussed on what we want to achieve.”
With a host of recruits including Tim Cooper, Luke Cowan and Corowa-Rutherglen livewire Nathan Rhodes, the look of things on-field is also shaping up nicely.
“There is a still a bit of work to do in adding depth to our list, but we are very happy with how we are looking in 2014,” Tilders said.
“Brad (coach Brad Talbot) has got the boys looking sharp and I think there is a bit of confidence carrying over from the finals appearance last year.
“We are all hoping the boys can build from that and hopefully we can see CDHBU deeper into the finals framework.”
Training is on Monday and Wednesday nights at Morris Park, South Corowa with the club’s practise matches already set.
CDHBU will face Moyhu on March 1, Rutherglen on March 8 and Kiewa Sandy Creek on March 15.
