Tigers go down fighting in Grand Finals

The Villa Noosa Tigers were soundly defeated by a polished and quick moving Western Magpies in last Sundays Pineapple Hotel Cup Grand Final played at Carrara on the Gold Coast. The first half was as many thought an extremely tight contest and the magpies heading into the main break just 4 points.
To this point, the Tigers seemed well and truly in with a chance if only they started to hit targets and convert. Rover Cubby Isles was outstanding in the first half kicking 3 goals and racking up many possessions. Kane Purcell was a steadying influence in the middle whilst Matty Hicks up forward looked dangerous.

It was just a real tug of war up until this stage however it was the Magpies who controlled the 3rd
