Two more 2014 Northern Knights players were selected onto AFL Lists in today's AFL Rookie Draft. Jayden Short was selected by Richmond at pick 11 and then the Tigers also added Jason Castagna at Pick 29.
Short who suffered an injury during Pre-Season and missed his chance to represent Vic Metro in the National Championships had a great second half of the year in the TAC Cup. He finished with the most kicks in the competition at over 73% efficentcy and came 4th in the Northern Knights Best & Fairest.
Castagna who juggled TAC Cup with the Knights, Vic Metro and School Football with Marcellin College played very consistent football all season and then showed his athletic traits with fantastic performances at the AFL Draft Combine.
The Northern Knights wish these boys all the best with the Tigers next season as they join a number of former Knights including: Trent Cotchin (Richmond Captain), Dylan Grimes, Nick Vlastuin, Ben Lennon, & Reece McKenzie.
