It was announced this morning by Liberal Member for Casey Tony Smith that a re-elected Turnbull Government will commit $500,000 towards a $2 million dollar redevelopment of Kilsyth Recreation Reserve which will house both elite male and female talent programs. The Yarra Ranges Council has committed $1 million dollars towards the project with AFL/AFL Victoria to commit the remaining funds to make this project a reality.
The new facility will include home and away unisex change rooms, unisex umpire rooms, meeting and lecture rooms, gymnasium as well as office administration space to accommodate both the Eastern Ranges and AFL Yarra Ranges administration.
This is a wonderful first step towards providing the best possible environment for our elite footballers from the Eastern Region the opportunity to realise their potential.
