150 Game Milestone for Ethan Claxton

Tomorrow marks the 150 game milestone for Ethan Claxton our 2015 Club Captain.

Ethan started with the club back in 2007 as a 9 year old playing a couple of years in the U10's & at various times over the journey filling in for higher age groups.

Ethan has had plenty of success along the way including Premierships, selection in Development Squads & Representative honours.

Gold Coast Fundraiser Raffle Change of Draw Date

Due to the number of books outstanding & to allow more time for collection of these books it has been decided to postpone draw of Gold Coast Fundraising Raffle to Round 16 - Sunday 16th August 2015.

This decision was made as with the recent wet weather teams have not trained & team managers haven't been able to collect all ticket books.

Hopefully ticket sales are going well, remember the deadline for return of books is Thursday 16th July, to help out your managers I suggest you return them by Sunday 12th July, so they can get them back to me.

Fundraiser Raffle - Gold Coast Holiday

The club will be running a Fund Raiser raffle to be drawn at our Home Games Round 13 - 26th July 2015.

This year we have decided to go with something different & that may appeal to those not necessarily interested in football prizes -

150 Game Milestone for Liam O'Keefe

Last Sunday Liam O'Keefe played his 150th game for the club, a magnificent achievement a milestone only achieved by a handful of players within the club.

If club records are correct Liam started out as an Auskicker way back in 2006 at the age of 6 & started his playing junior footy in our U10's the following year (when it was still a competitive age group).

Congratulations to U11 Development Squad Crows

Congratulations goes out to the following Crows selected as part of the Greater Western Sydney Giants U11 Development Squad.

The boys will be training over the next few weeks & then participating in a carnival on Saturday 6th June at Penshurst against other regional U11 teams.

Amart Sports Community Kickback Program Update

The Crows have been registered with Amart Sports Penrith as part of their Community Kickbacks program returning benefits back to schools & clubs. There was an issue which has been resolved.

Now that the club has been registered all you need to do is join the Amart Sports loyalty program to start returning benefits to the club (5% of all purchases are returned to the club). Click more for Flyermore

Cook Park Closed for training this week

Unfortunately, due to the consistent rain, training at Cook Park has been cancelled this week. The decision was made for player safety and to give a chance to keep the grounds playable for Sunday.more

Cook Park Closed - Round 1 Games Cancelled

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain we have had to make the decision to call off the games scheduled at Cook Park today.

Auskick, 11's, 14's & 17's.

This was not an easy decision. The cricket pitch area was unsafe for play & we weren't prepared to risk the safety of our or opposing players - which was a distinct possibility based on state of pitch just walking on it was an issue.more

More Honours For Our U15 Players

Congratulations to Aaron Charity, Corey Dowle and Savelio (Lio) Pahulu players from our U15 squad who have been selected in the NSW DEC High Schools U15 Sydney West squad. This carnival will take place on Thursday, 23/4/15 at Greenway Park, Carnes Hill, where they will play Sydney South West and Sydney South. Good luck to you all & play well.more

Irrigation & Drainage Works at Cook Park Postponed

We have been advised by Penrith Council that due to delays with Contractors the planned installation of irrigation & drainage system at Cook Park has been postponed until the end of footy season.

They will still be installing underground water tank outside the oval.

This means we will be able to use Cook Park for training & the start of the season.more

Congratulations to one of our U15's

Congratulations on behalf of the Crows goes out to Matthew (Matty) Moore who has recently been selected, as one of a squad of 25 players, to attend the 2015 Indigenous Kickstart Championships which are to be held in Cairns in April 2015.

Another Milestone for Crow - Connor Owen-Auburn

Congratulations to Connor Owen-Auburn who has been selected to play in the U18’s PM Capital Academy Side that will play against the Sydney Swans Academy on Sunday March 22nd at Blacktown (BISP).

Game commences at 2pm so if your not doing anything & want to see one of our Crows as he heads towards the big time head on down & cheer him on.more

For the first time ever, there will be a pre-game march to Spotless Stadium and the GIANTS would like to officially invite all St Clair Crows players to participate, and make sure your club can be heard.

A new committee has been elected for 2015.

We still have a few roles that weren't filled at the AGM they are:-

Coaching Coordinator ideally someone not involved as a coach to act as mentor to club coaches.

Ground Maintenance coordinating ground set up pre game day.

Property Officer who looks after / manages equipment uniform distribution to teams.

The GIANTS are looking to start Supporter Groups in Blacktown & Penrith areas for 2015.

Details of the initiative are contained in the attached document.
Incentives offered are:-
