Nomads President's Report 2014

The 2014 season has been a difficult season for most clubs within the Canterbury region with the weather having a major bearing on the entire football season. This resulted in many clubs and players not getting as many games during the season as they would have hoped due to the extremely wet conditions and as a result many grounds being closed.more

Finals of the Under 19 Coastal Spirit Tournament

The under 19's Lotto Tournament finals was a tough affair with Nomads United against hosts Coastal Spirit. Full time the score was locked nil all.

Nomad United lost the penalty shoot out. The team distinguished themselves not as individuas, but a total team effort throughout the weekend .more

Coastal Spirit -2014 Lotto Under 19 Tournament is being held over Labour Weekend at Cuthberts Green, on 25, 26 and 27th of October.

Nomads United round robin games are:

10.45am- Nomads vs Waimak , ground 3
1.00pm- Nomads vs Mid Canty , ground 3
3.20pm- Nomads vs Parklands , ground 5

7th Grade Otters World Beaters

I am not sure how the best team will be measured for Fun Footie 7th Grade but I would surely like to stake a claim for the Otters to be that team.

Here’s a run-down on the great season the 2014 Nomads’ Otters had.

We played 11 games in total and had 2 sessions, one which was held at AMI and one at ASB Stadiums. Thanks Nomads.more

A Saturday Highlight

One of the highlights of Saturday is hearing from junior section of Nomads United.

It is becoming common place that a player from one of the junior team will give the speech,supported by their coach. It provides a different perspective to games or season.more

Match report- Local Derby

Saturday was the First derby game for Nomads United senior in many years. Naturally, both teams wanted the win. Thanks to Andrew it was rightfully played at Tulett Park. There had been good humour banter between the teams into the weeks leading up to the game.more

First Registration Day for 2014

Yesterday, Nomads United had their first registration day. Even though most people wanted to be at the beach or near water to get some relief from the heat. There was an awesome turn out from the juniors and parents for our first registration day!

For those who had other commitments or did go to the beach there are two more registration days for 2014 season.

Shining Light in Wretched Weather- 13/07/13

The weekend wasn’t suited to football. However, we can confirm the "President B” have won their section. Nomads United would like to congratulate them for their performances this year. They came out of the blocks with a winning streak of 7 matches. Then had a few hiccups but like a champion team have finished with a flourish.
