Girls School Sports WA Interstate Basketball team
East Perth District Basketball Association (EPDBA) have been advised that Madison Alone and Brooke Rebel from the Eagles' Under 14/2 WABL team have been selected in the School Sports WA Interestate Basketball Team for 12 Girls. The girls will be travelling to Townsville, Qld for their tournament from 15 to 23 August 2014.
Brooke and Madison have been in the School Sports WA selection process since 19 March 2014 and as of last night were advised that they both have been successful in making the team.
It has been some time since East Perth Eagles have had any girls selected to represent WA which is very exciting for the Club and in particular the reinvigorated Girls Development Programs that the Club started up a few years ago.
Brooke and Madison have been playing WABL for a number of years with Madison playing as a 2 year player in Under 12 and Brooke a 3 year player in Under 12's. Last year both girls made the Basketball WA WABL Under 12 Girls All Star Team with Madison also winning the WABL MVP.
EPDBA wishes to congratulate Brooke and Madison on their selection and wish them all the best in their preparation and particpation in the Tournament in Townsville in August.
