Information in the attached PDF below will assist all current and new players on how East Perth will be entering teams in The BWA State Championships for 2015.

Players wishing to take their basketball to the next level and play WABL we would love to see you at the Tryouts. State Championships enables coaches to see potential WABL players for the upcoming

Season and for players to see what WABL level competition is like.

BWA 2015 State Championships

The Championships, for both Men and Women, are held each year in November and December for the purpose of establishing the leading Association teams throughout the state for each age division. It is also used to help create more interest and competition in our younger men and women and improve the standard of Junior Basketball throughout the state.

Championship Dates

Week 1: 28^th& 29^thNovember–U11 Boys and Girls & U13 Boys.

Week 2: 5^th& 6^thDecember–U15 Girls & U17 Boys and Girls.

Week 3: 12^th& 13^thDecember–U13 Girls, U15 Boys U19’s Boys and Girls.

Tryout Information

This year, East Perth District Basketball Association will be conducting two try out sessions, for participation in the Championships.

• 25^thOctober and
• 1^stNovember

All athletes who wish to play in this competition must attend ( exemptions for injury / sickness ). The age groups are different to the WABL regular season. This allows preparation for the bottom age players to have exposure to opponents they may play in the 2016 WABL season.

2016 WABL Coaches will select the teams they wish to take to the State Championships.

All players must register online to tryout, it is compulsory and payment is due at time of registration Cost for tryouts a cost of $20 which is non-refundable for both weeks.
