We’ve hit mid year and their is a spring in our step after a much needed win against the Saints last week. It came down to the last few minutes to get a first win against them since they amalgamated. OOOOOHHHHH SWEEEET.
This week we have tea upstairs after the days activities and its “Minute to Win it night”. Stick around this could be pretty funny. Thanks to the Tooleybuc club for feeding us last week. Could’ve loosened up the pokies a bit to give us a chance but all in all another great night at the club. Next week is the Social Ball at the Italian Social Centre. Las Vegas theme, so we will have live performances by some top acts. $25 if you get your tickets prior or $30 at the door. It will be a fun night, don’t miss out.
We pass our sympathy on to the Saville family. Our thoughts are with Maureen, Gary and their boys.
Unfortunately we don’t have the Junior results from last week. Although we did here that there was some really great barracking going on down on the Junior side line last week. Great team work by the boys. Step up and give them all a hand today to get the teams out and playing. Well done to all the boys who have been involved in Interleague as well. Great effort by you guys and your families.
Did anyone notice the new netball booth. Thanks to the guys who worked on it. Last week A grade did it tough again but put in a strong team effort. Keep at it girls the results don’t reflect the quality of your games. B Grades Sarah Maskell was best on court in tough game. B Res came home with a 5 goal win and it was Chloe Burrell who was best on for her team. Under 17’s were pushed hard by the Saints girls. Well done to Laura Caccaviello for holder her position so well. Under 15’s had another strong win and their better players were Lauren Barone and Mel Maher. Under 13’s just got over the line with a 2 goal win. Well done to Shanae O’Meara who was their better player. The Under 13 Res had a draw at 9 all. Well done to Hannah Everett and Mietta Kelly for their great team efforts.
Colts had the help of two visiting players last week and they certainly stepped into the competition well. A very encouraging game by several of our local boys also helped to see them in front at the final siren. Coburns Sportspower award went to Jordan Briggs and the Burtons Video award went to Matt Bellinger the two visiting boys. Thanks guys and thanks to your families as well. Muzza’s incentives went to Adam Manning and the Captain Brad Maskell. Mallee Auto Repairs award went to Justin Caccaviello. Kylaite Hotel votes went to Jordan, Adam and Brad. Good luck today boys, hopefully we can crack it for another great win.
The Ressies came out with good intentions but they were soon put aside by a much more determined and skilled Saints outfit. Lenards Chicken voucher went to Alister Pretty, Grand Hotel meal went to Ben Sheridan, Peace Wines 2 bottles went to Pat Carpenteri, and the Northern Valley Stockfeeds award went to Matt Temper. The Paul Haberman Painting votes went to Al, Shez and Patty Carp. Please guys come to training and at least get to know each other.
Well what can we say, when he’s hot he is sizzling. DJ had the ball on a string for the better part of the game last week. When things got tough he was covering most of the ground to support his team mates. He deserved the Tooleybuc Sporting Club player of the day award. Luke Maher as always was consistant in his efforts and took out the Poon boon Lamb award. Doeys meats voucher went to Dean Harrop. Rampaging Rioli took out the Peace Wines award and the best non contracted players were Dean Harrop and Marcus Skinner. Coburns Earthmoving votes went to Sir Darryl, Marzie and Deano. Great game boys, great game. Welcome back last week to Danny O’Bree who managed to sneak a few goals in as well. Good luck today boys, lets keep that team work happening.
Teas and votes upstairs tonight after the game. Please remember to pay for your Goods and Services items and collect any today that may still be upstairs. Has anyone seen the blue and red tarp that covers the mobile seating near the netball courts. Its weather proof and bit better than the shade cloth for keeping out the wind.
Have a great day everyone, enjoy your netball and football.
Go Demons.
