Council Elections Saturday 27th October – Karin Orpen
Karin Orpen has been an ardent supporter of our club for since 1997. Over this period of time she has, as part of her role as Dobson Ward Councillor and Mayor of Knox, played an integral part in the club moving forward. $2M was achieved for long overdue capital works and improvements to Kings Park and a further $480K~ for the back extension and change rooms for the club, as well as securing the funding for the front viewing area extension before leaving council in 2008. Karin was the Number 1 Female Ticket holder for a number of years and instigated "The Dobson Ward Best Club Supporter" award. All the above can be directly traced back to Karin and her invaluable support to our great club. She has also financially supported the club as a Hopkins Foundation and King Club member.
This year sees her bid to return to council and the Club therefore is asking that if you live within the Dobson Ward or have family and friends who do, that you pass the word and consider casting your vote for Karin in the upcoming election.
