When Tom joined the Dingos in 2009, he had an immediate impact and quickly became one of the league's best Canadian ruckmen. One of the toughest Canadians the Dingos have had, Tom in closing in on 100 games played for the club, with most of those games in the gruelling position of Ruck.
Tom's trophy cabinet must be getting pretty full, given that he has won the Dingos' Best Rookie Award (2009), Coach's Award (2009, 2011), Runner-up Canadian Stewart Award (Best & Fairest) (2010, 2011), Stewart Award winner (2012, 2014), and has been selected to the OAFL All-Star team (2011, 2012). On top of that, Tom has represented Canada with the Northwind, and was one of Canada's best players in the 2012 49th Parallel Cup in Dublin, Ohio.
These achievements and Tom's continued leadership both on and off the field were recognized at the 20th Anniversary Gala the Dingos held in 2015. Tom was named as part of the 20-year AllStar team, a great honour and testament to the impact he has made on the Dingos club.
Recently, Tom has also formed a band, Honeybeard, with fellow Dingo Gary Conlon, playing shows across Canada and releasing an EP.
